MicroStrategy Acquires 5,445 Bitcoin for $150 Million in August and September

Software firm MicroStrategy (MSTR) has revealed in a regulatory filing that it bought nearly $150 million worth of bitcoin (BTC) between August 1st and September 24th.
The company, along with its subsidiaries, acquired approximately 5,445 bitcoins at an average price of around $27,053 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses. This purchase adds to MicroStrategy's already substantial bitcoin holdings, bringing its total to approximately 158,245 BTC, acquired at an aggregate cost of approximately $4.68 billion, with an average purchase price of roughly $29,582 per bitcoin.
To fund this purchase, MicroStrategy issued and sold a total of 403,362 MSTR shares. The company had previously stated its intention to raise up to $750 million by selling additional stock, with plans to allocate some of the proceeds toward acquiring more bitcoin.
